This is just to say

Hello bloggers! today we have a  poem by William Carlos William. I made a parody of this.

I have eaten
the plums
that was in
the icebox

and which
you were
probably
saving
for breakfast

forgive me
they were
delicious
so sweet
and so cold

and this is my parody of it.

This is just to say
By Hamish Kelly

I have taken
The dusty bike
That was in the garage

And which
You were
Probably
Saving for
A ride

Forgive me
It was
Waiting for me
So sleek

And so fun

My Petrifying Portrait

Hello Bloggers! The teachers made us draw portraits. And I constructed a monstrosity. It's not that bad... but I'd rather draw an inanimate object than a human. I HATE drawing humans.

apart from the face, I'm very happy about the background. It expresses what I like to do and all my hobbies. You might be wondering what's in the bowl, that's curry. It looks a bit weird, yeah.

But I still like it. in the top left are the countries I am from. I was born in Auckland. and most of my family is from the UK. I enjoy doing surf lifesaving and swimming. I also love geography and Minecraft.

Waste of resources

What is waste? waste can be a verb or a noun, and I'm going to talk about waste as a noun. Landfill. Plastic. Sewage. an object becomes waste when you simply don't want it anymore. Here's an example: a tub of yogurt. You wouldn't consider it to be waste, right? Not until you're done with it. now you have a plastic lid and a plastic tub. unless you were using something else for your tubs. if you do, good job. but that's another matter. I'm here to talk about wasting resources.

what resources do we waste, you may ask? well, funnily enough, we waste most of the resources we need to survive. let's talk about it as a verb now.

Water

Freshwater only makes 2.5% of the total volume of the world's water. But considering 70% of that freshwater is in the form of ice and permanent snow cover and that we only have access to 200,000km3 of freshwater overall,  and the demand for water could soon exceed our supply.

 Oil

The fear of reaching the last reserves of oil continues to haunt the oil industry. the BP Statistical Review Of World Energy measured total global oil at 188.8 million tonnes, from proved oil resources at the end of 2010. This is only enough to oil for the next 46.2 years.

We need to be careful about using our resources well. to save oil, we can ride in cars less, and use vehicles that are eco-friendly, like bikes. the whole world needs to work together to save our planet. we can help to save water by taking shorter showers. you can water your garden less. thank you for reading my small descriptive speech.
