Numeracy + Literacy work on first week back!

Hello Bloggers! on the first week back, we did some interesting things. for maths, we focused on magic squares, and for literacy, we researched science and some scientists who changed science forever.
let's get into it!

For maths, we looked at magic squares, which are interesting 3 x 3 grids with numbers in them. the magic thing about the magic square is that the square has nine digits in the grids, sorted into 3 groups of 3 same numbers. for example, 333, 555, and 777. with all the numbers, we sort them out so that horizontally, diagonally, up or down, it always equals 15.
I hope you enjoyed reading about the magic squares. now we can move onto literacy!
literacy was fun this week, we got to research a scientist. I researched on Galileo Galilei with his fantastic discoveries and contributions he made to science. some people even call him the father of science.
I made a canvas poster that tells you all the things about Galileo and what he did.

I hope you enjoyed reading about my first week back at school. give me any feedback if you have any! apart from that, see you next time!

Learning about Polar Lights!

Hello bloggers! today we're learning about the Polar Lights. the polar lights are lights thousands of kilometers up from the sky and appear in the north pole, and the south pole. they are interesting belts of light, usually in green but sometimes flourishing in pink, red, or blue. let's see how they appear!
The polar lights are created in the sun. the sun emits so much energy that it superheats the gasses around it.
as the gas particles are superheated, they are blasted away at amazing speeds such as 500 kilometers per second. these particles, also known as the solar wind, are sent towards the earth. the earth is protected by the magnetic field, but some particles get though and excite the oxygen, making aurora borealis.

I hope you enjoyed learning with me about polar light! see you next time!
