Fri - yay activities!

Hello bloggers! today is Friday, and that means that we have some fun things to do! in the morning we made a pizza at home. sadly, mine was a bit of a disaster, since the dough was too gooey.

they were a bit of a failure. but we'll try again. secondly, I did some art on the 90 seconds colour push website. it's really cool, check it out!

they are really fun to make and look at afterwards. well, that concludes what I've done today. I think I could have cooked the pizza longer and made more 90-second art pieces, but apart from that, see you next time!

Improbability!

Hello fellow bloggers! today we learned about the heart of gold, and it's improbability drive. the ship was stolen by Zaphod Beeblebrox and it picked up Arthur Dent and Ford Prefect after Arthur's planet was destroyed. we focused on probability and improbability though. here's my improbable story!

I've already told this story, but think one of the most improbable things that have ever happened to me has to be when I got my appendix removed on my birthday. It was a Saturday morning, and I got to open all my presents and things. It felt like it was going really well, and I was also going to have lunch with my mum. But before I could get ready for the day, I had this weird pain in my stomach. It was quite sore, and it only got worse. Eventually, I had to go to lunch with my mum and I was really sore at that point, I couldn't eat, I was just paralyzed in pain.

then, we finished lunch and we were going back home, and I threw up out the car window. Everyone knew it was serious, so they drove my back to my dad’s house and dad took me to the 24-hour surgery. At this point, I just wanted to lie down and sleep. They said my appendix was inflamed, and that I should go to the hospital immediately.

it's quite an improbable story! I hope you enjoyed reading it.

In Other News Today...

Hello bloggers! today we researched a new scientific discovery, expedition, or technology in the news. I chose to do mine on the new iPhone SE. it's a really cool phone for a reasonable price (for apple.)

On the 15th of April, Cupertino, California, Apple released the new iPhone SE, a powerful new iPhone featuring a 4.7-inch Retina HD display, paired with Touch ID. it’s a very compact phone, being 4.7 inches tall and having an A13 - Bionic, the fastest chip in a smartphone yet. All this, for 800 NZ dollars.

The camera of the iPhone SE has a 12-megapixel front camera, the same as the iPhone 10. It’s phenomenal for the price of this phone since it’s about 200 dollars less than the iPhone 10. also being water and dust resistant.

iPhone SE also features the familiar Home button designed with sapphire crystal to be durable and to protect the sensor, and a steel ring to detect a user’s fingerprint for Touch ID. Using Touch ID is an easy, private, and secure way to unlock your iPhone.

iPhone SE comes in 3 colors: black, white, and red. The iPhone SE also has a cool portrait feature on the iPhone that enhances pictures and video taking. Phone SE features the best single-camera system in an iPhone capturing high-quality video up to 4K 60fps on the rear camera, cinematic video stabilization on the front, and rear camera.
I hope you enjoyed reading this. I really think that the iPhone SE is a fantastic phone and has all the things you need on it (minus the headphone jack) and I'm thinking of buying one!

What i've been doing at school!

Hello bloggers! today I have a truckload of finished work from the past 2 days to show you. I really hope you enjoy this extravaganza of work display!

WEDNESDAY

On Wednesday, we were assigned to make an argument about the most important thing humanity has ever achieved or created. I thought that language was quite important, so I wrote an argument about that and I also drew a piece of art about it. enjoy!

I’d argue that the most important thing that humanity has created is language. Throughout history, language has been one of the main priorities of surviving. Imagine if you couldn’t speak or write to other people. Imagine how hard communicating between humans could be.
Communicating with language has driven the human race forwards greatly.

When two people can talk the same language, it opens a gate of possibilities, including sharing ideas like religion, disease cures, child-raising methods, other languages, important days, and many, many more. Altogether, we wouldn't have made it very far without language.

Here's the art piece!

I'm very happy about the art piece. I used a porcelain bowl to make the round shape, and I did some research on how to say hello in 12 languages. then I put all the hello's around the circle and drew Europe inside of it! it was lots of fun drawing it.

THURSDAY

Thursday was my favorite day out of the week. we did two things that day, researching bureaucracy and Irony. I really enjoyed irony, and I made 2 paragraphs of an ironic story. Just to notify you, there are three types of irony: verbal irony, situational irony, and dramatic irony. Verbal irony is where a speaker's intention is the opposite of what he or she is saying. imagine a character stepping out of his house into a thunderstorm. then he says "what lovely weather we're having!" situational irony is where the actual result of a situation is totally different from what you’d expect the result to be. Dramatic irony is where the audience knows a key part of the story that a character doesn't. anyways, here's my situationally ironic story!

My Example/Scene:
Today was my nan’s 101st birthday. She doesn’t know how to facetime, so I was going over to her house to see her. It’s a milestone for her, and I bet she couldn’t wait to see me as well, to celebrate. I was at her door, and I rang it. A feeble old lady approached the door and opened it. She grinned at me. “Welcome, my dear!” she kindly said. “I was just doing some knitting. Come in.” she was surprisingly fit for a 101 - year old grandma, and she could open the door with some ease. She was in a great mood, and she loved seeing her grandkids, so that made her even happier. I followed her into the living room, and she told me to sit down and asked me if I’d like some tea. I said I’m ok, and she says: “Come with me, I have something to show you.”
I said, “don’t you want to open presents first? And she replied with, “no, this is much more important.” I wondered what it could be. She took me into the garage and what I saw made me question what was in my breakfast. She had 3 monitors set up with a tangle of wire, and also a large tv screen with hundreds of strings of numbers. “I’ve been trying to hack into the CIA for some time now, and I think I’m nearly there. I have large amounts of information about them stored at my fingertips. Don’t tell anyone else.” I couldn’t believe myself.

it's an elaborate story, isn't it? well, I have another thing for Thursday. it's what I think about bureaucracy. I made a small comic about it.

you might need to zoom in to see it.

FRIDAY

on Friday we have special activities, and we can make cool things. in the morning, we did tech from home, which was making one of eight activities from fabrics to wood. I chose to make some stained glass with paper and grapeseed oil. first, I got the paper and drew out a circle. then, I divided it into 8 pieces and colored all of them in. then, I got a paper towel and dabbed some grapeseed oil on it, the put it on the opposite side of the paper. it gives it a transparent look, and I think it was pretty cool.
And finally, I made some non - existent creatures. hope you like them!

Well, that concludes it. I really hope you like the work I have done over the past few days. it was really fun. see you another time!

Block Characters!

Hello bloggers! today I made some block characters. they're sometimes hard to see, but when you find out who they are, you can't unsee it! I have 8 in total, and they come from tv shows and movies. these ones are quite easy to see since they have lots of detail and are all popular.

Can you guess who they are? I'll give you a hint: the third one is Tom and Jerry. I hope you like them, they are quite fun to make and to decipher!

A Day I Didn't Get The Hang Of.

Hello bloggers! today we had to think of a day we couldn't get the hang of... I had to think about that. but finally, I got a story. hope you enjoy!

One day, a day I wIll not forget, I was goIng to have my bIrthday party, but Instead got a nasty surprIse.
I woke up, and I was super excIted! It was my bIrthday. I was goIng to have a blast today. I had chocolate spread on toast for breakfast and I got some cool gIfts, lIke some rIg 300 headphones, and some lego and clothes.

The day was goIng great when I had a weird paIn In my stomach. It got so bad I couldn't get out of bed, and I was groanIng. We had to postpone my party, and I was crushed. My dad drove me to the 24 hour surgery, and the doctors told hIm I needed to go to the hospital, sInce my appendIx was Inflamed. There was a lot of throwIng up and feelIng sleepy, It’s If someone put a sleepIng pIll InsIde dog poo and forced me to eat It.

There were plenty of days where I was just sleepIng. I was In a lot of plaIn and dIdn't want to do anythIng other than sleep. But fInally, after three days of waItIng, I got my appendIx removed In a surgery. Then I was allowed out, but It stIll hurt lIke hell, sInce the 3 holes they cut open my stomach were not fully healed. But I had my party agaIn when I recovered. More of a serIes of days I couldn't get the hang of, but It was maInly the fIrst day.

What i'd do if the world was going to end!

Hello bloggers! today we read the first parts of the hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy. I really love the book! we have to decide what we would do if the world was going to end. so here's mine! The scenario is that nobody except my family and friends knows that the world is going to end. I would start the day by eating the most mammoth pile of ice cream with chocolate pancakes and chocolate sauce, and then go to the supermarket, buying a bunch of pizza and fizzy drink, (don’t forget McDonald's) and all the chocolate I could get my hands of, and prepare for lunch. Then, I would hire at least 3 sessions of bowling and laser tag, and then invite my friends to come and celebrate our inevitable death. We’d go back to my house and play a bunch of Minecraft and human fall flat, and have some fun at the park. Then we’d stay up and watch the sunset while eating all of the chocolate bars, cakes, pizzas, and other foods.
