Global Issues Art!

Hey bloggers! for inquiry, we have been doing global issues. I've been doing some art on pollution.

My art is based on pollution. Pollution is a terrible thing caused by humans, and it’s a big problem in our society today. Pollution is caused by things like throwing trash away or using your car too much.

I’m focusing on air pollution, which is where the air is most damaged by fossil fuels, smoke, and greenhouse gases. This is a big problem in places like India - with big factories pumping out fossil fuels, destroying the air.

I hope my art helps you understand the effect that is happening to our earth. I hope you can be cleaner and kinder to the planet.

WHAT IS THAT BIRD DOING?

Hello Bloggers! a few days ago we were doing maths, and Mr gillstrom gave us an equation that baffled me. eventually, I figured it out, but it was still funny.

seabirds are magnificent creatures that are very fast and can go up to 30 - 40 kph to catch their fishy prey. they dive into the ocean to catch the fish in their mouth, and then kind of swim out and fly out. they can't stay too long underwater since they would drown.

but what if there was a gravity force pulling the bird down, but no land or sea? how fast would the bird go? well, let's find out.

in the calculator you put in 19 - 16 ( how many seconds you want to pass) and an exponent of 2. then you calculate it. the bird is 19 feet in the air. in one second, he is 3 feet above where the water would be. in 5 seconds, the bird is -381 feet under where the water would be. it's absolutely phenomenal, try it out for yourself and you can see how far the tern can get. I hope you liked this post, and leave any feedback in the comments!

Awesome Binary Name!

Hello Bloggers! This Thursday we were given a task to make our names in binary. it might sound very hard, but if you're mildly experienced in code, you can do it simply.

First, you need to get a sheet that starts from one, and then doubles until it gets to 64.

_  _   _   _ _ _ _

64 32 16 8 4 2 1

Then, you need to get all the letters in your first name. for me, it was h, a, m, i, s, and h. then you need to find all the alternative numbers for those letters. eg: a =1, b=2, c=3 and so on. then, with those numbers, you need to make them in the sheet. so the letter I was 9, so I had to add 8 and 1 together. on the 64, you need to add a 1 to top it off. so in the end, we have 1001001. there's a 1 for every number we used. then you just need to do that to all the letters of your alphabet, then you put them all together!

Awesome HHGTTG Pixel Art!

Hello Bloggers! For literacy, we're making pixel art of the characters we're reading about. I made pixel art of Arthur dent and Ford Prefect. check it out! I really enjoyed making him, it was fun experimenting with all the different brush types and things. he's holding a towel, with a scruff haircut, and he's got pajamas, a dressing gown and slippers on. I hope you like it and comment on what I could have done differently!

New Revised Comic!

Hey Bloggers! Today I and Blake remade our ironic comic. it's much better now, it has more slides, and it's properly ironic. Blake is throwing a water balloon at fletcher, while fletcher is running away, and fletcher thinks "I should jump in the pool so I don't get soaked by the water balloon!" The irony is that he's running away from something that will get him wet, but then he falls into a pool which soaks him. I hope you like it and comment down below on what I could improve on!

Ironic comic!!

Hello bloggers! yesterday we looked at irony. As you should know if you've seen my other blog post on irony that there are three types of irony. situational, dramatic, and verbal. I think this one was verbal irony. it's just ironic that blind people can't see, and yet the angry person on Facebook is writing a mean comment.
